CampusFrance has, for the first time, published an overview of student mobility data, using sources such as UNESCO, IIE’s Open Doors (see ACA Newsletter – Education Europe, February 2008), Germany’s Wissenschaft Weltoffen (see ACA Newsletter – Education Europe, July 2008), the British HESA and the French Ministries of Education and Higher Education.

What makes these key figures so palatable is that they have been processed and are presented without accompanying comments, enabling student mobility specialists to analyse the information themselves. The added value of such an overview is clearly the direct comparison of national data and the possibility of contextual reading.
