The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) founded an International DAAD Academy (iDA) a few years ago as a response to the challenges of internationalisation and global competition in the education sector. It provides a training programme on international purposes and topics for German universities.

In 2010 iDA goes to a global platform and opens its activities and services by offering courses in English for universities, scientific institutions and funding organisations, and the iDA Summer School for foreign college administrators. The English-taught seminars will cover of topics such as the systematic overview of the German education system and the examination and effects of the Bologna reform. An intensive language course and visits to universities, research institutes and government departments are parts of the iDA Summer School’s programme.
