The European Migration Network (EMN), run by the Commission, issued a synthesis report presenting the findings of the main EMN Study for 2012 on “Immigration of International Students to the EU”. This synthesis report provides a sound analytical overview and statistical information on the immigration and mobility policies currently implemented by (member) states to allow foreign students to enter into the EU for the purposes of study. The report aims at informing policymakers and practitioners to promote Europe as an attractive study destination whilst at the same time preventing misuse of international student routes to migration.
