The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Programme is now accepting applications for the academic year 2023-24.

The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship was established by the Hungarian Government for the Hungarian diaspora living outside of Europe, who wish to study at a Hungarian higher education institution to develop their personal, professional and cultural relations with the country. The programme is managed by ACA member Tempus Public Foundation (TPF).

As Diaspora scholarship holders, students can receive an internationally recognised degree at a top-level Hungarian higher education institution and acquire highly competitive knowledge to advance both personally and academically. Almost 30 Hungarian institutions are involved in the Programme with more than 1000 Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral study programmes, mostly in English and Hungarian language, covering all study fields.

The scholarship is available both for full-time studies leading to a degree and for partial/exchange study modes. After graduation, scholarship holders return to their home country with competitive skills and knowledge that enable them to support their community, preserve Hungarian values and reinforce the relations between the diaspora and Hungary.

The application deadline for the 2023-24 programme is on 31 January 2023, while an information day about the application process will be organised on 16 January 2023 - from 8:00 to 9:30 and from 16:00 to 17:30 (CET).
