GREET and CARe for ACA, DAAD and EDUFI in 2019

This summer ACA has won another Horizon 2020 grant, and again under the Science4Refugees initiative. After GREET, the same consortium (ACA Secretariat as coordinator and DAAD and EDUFI as partners) will run CARe – Career Advancement for Refugee Researchers in Europe. CARe will start in January 2019 and last for 22 months, ending in October 2020.

The overall goal of CARe is to support the integration of researchers with the refugee background into the European research community by needs-based guidance and coordinated and tailored provision of information needed for their entry and integration in R&D market in the country of their residence as well as ensuring coordinated dissemination of relevant information. The project will cover 10 European countries with high numbers of asylum seekers, the absorption capacity of the R&D labour market and proven political will to support the labour market integration of refugee researchers (at the time, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands).

At the same time, the GREET project has reached its first half of implementation. During this period, the GREET team hosted a Peer Learning Activity (PLA) in Brussels, the results of which can be found in the PLA report, just published and available online on the ACA website.
More information about CARe will soon be available online.
