German Rectors' Conference (HRK). Good teaching - fresh wind in the sails of German higher education. Project nexus - concepts and good practice for studying and teaching. HRK, Bonn, 2011. Pages: 100.

This is an English-language brochure presenting innovative concepts and methods of competence-oriented teaching. Supported as part of the Qualitätspakt Lehre initiative in Germany and compiled in the framework of the project Nexus – concepts and good practices for study and teaching of the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), this publication presents a wealth of best teaching practices from all kinds of higher education institutions in Germany. Large and small, new and traditional, research universities, universities of applied sciences and schools of art and music are all represented in the mix. Good teaching opens with two interviews—one with the new president of the German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD, Margret Wintermantel, and the other with higher education research expert, prof. Johannes Wildt—and offers a fresh glimpse into Germany’s most advanced higher education practices.
