Given the ever-increasing number of university rankings and the development of new and more refined methodologies, the European University Associating has released a second report on the state of global university rankings with the intention of documenting new developments since 2011. The study gives a sound overview of the latest trends and methodological changes, noting biases of some rankings, which tend to favour elite universities and focus on research.
