International and EU student numbers in higher education in England experienced a modest recovery in 2013 compared with the previous year. This report examines shifts in enrolments of international students in higher education in England, and explores what might have caused them. This analysis focuses on entrants’ data, which record the new student enrolments only in the respective academic year as compared with the total number of students. It is one of a series of analyses by HEFCE of current data and future trends in higher education.
