The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has adapted the research programme on IT security “Digital.Sicher.Souverän.“ (Digital.Secure.Sovereign.) to new developments and threats and complemented it with the BMBF's newly published “Agenda Cybersecurity Research” (in German). In the new publication, the BMBF summarises a series of measures to meet the challenges triggered by the Chancellor Scholz’s “Zeitenwende” speech in an even more targeted manner. Important priorities of the agenda are using research to make digital infrastructures in Germany and Europe as reliable and crisis-proof as possible, intensifying cooperation with value partners and increasing cyber resilience and cyber competence in society.
The “Digital.Secure.Sovereign.” programme bundles interdepartmental activities on IT security research and promotes the development of secure, innovative IT solutions for citizens, business and the state.
