This statistical analysis report released by the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) describes the differences between the educational systems among the G8 countries, having as a starting point the United States educational system.

This report describes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Russian Federation, and the United Kingdom. The report uses twenty indicators organized in five sections: (1) population and school enrolment; (2) academic performance; (3) context for learning; (4) expenditure for education; and (5) education returns: educational attainment and income.
