The European Commission calls for a study on the cooperation between higher education institutions and private organisations in Europe (EU, the candidate countries, and Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland). The overall objective of the study is to get a better knowledge and understanding of university–business cooperation in Europe, especially from the perspective of higher education institutions. The work implies analysis of existing literature, a survey based on a questionnaire to a representative number of higher education institutions, a number of case studies, and the identification and description of approximately 30 examples of good practice.

The prior information notice has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union and the actual call for proposals is expected at the end of September.
