Over the years, ACA has been extremely fortunate to have had a series of trainees who have brought enormous talent and energy to the work of the Secretariat. Over the period September 2011 – February 2012, one such individual definitely made her mark in our midst. Veronika Kupriyanova-Ashina has been an outstanding colleague amongst us during the last six months, providing outstanding contributions to our monthly newsletter production and related outreach efforts, amongst other substantive support. As of 1 March, we are pleased to announce that Lukas Szabo will take up the stagiaire reins. A Slovak national, Lukas has been educated in the United Kingdom and the United States. He comes to ACA on the heels of a six-month traineeship at the European Commission, DG Education and Culture, where his duties brought him into close contact with various aspects of the management of the Lifelong Learning Programme. Welcome, Lukas!
