Fostering high-quality blended student mobility in higher education

On 13 and 14 February 2023, ACA hosted the kick off meeting of the HIBLend project in Brussels.

The aim of this three-year project funded under the Erasmus+ programme is to raise interest in and enhance the capacity of higher education institutions across Europe to develop high-quality blended mobility opportunities for students through the design, testing, and promotion of a comprehensive framework, offering guidance on the existing models, quality considerations, and main steps in the set-up and delivery of blended mobility programmes.

With the consortium partners - the European University Foundation (EUF), the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO), Tampere University of Applied Sciences and Masaryk University – discussions focused on project planning , with this year’s work focused on the analysis of existing models and approaches to student blended mobility.

Among the upcoming activities are a mapping exercise to capture changing approaches to blended mobility feeding into a new typology. This exercise will be followed with the design, validation and promotion of a survey, which will harvest higher education institutions practices in blended mobility, as well as a series of peer learning seminars exchanging institutional good practice.
