As of 01 January 2017, Switzerland is again participating fully in the entire Horizon 2020 programme. After the Swiss Federal Council ratified the protocol on the free movement of persons, which was extended to the new EU member state Croatia, Switzerland fulfilled the condition for full association to the EU research programme.
