From 12 to 16 October 2026, the Higher Education Transformation Week (HETW 2026) will bring together more than 30 Erasmus+ KA2 Cooperation Partnership projects for a series of workshops, conferences and other public events across Brussels. The programme spans eight thematic areas, from teaching innovation, future skills and digital transformation to mobility, inclusion, wellbeing and the green transition, providing a space to share project results and discuss their application in higher education. Participation is free of charge, and registration is still possible for a number of workshops, including the three sessions bellow.

International university collaboration at the course level – FReINDs 
Wednesday, 14 October, 09:00–12:30  

This workshop focuses on how international collaboration can be embedded directly into university courses. Participants will explore the H-MOOC hybrid course model, including approaches to jointly developed teaching, cross-institutional student collaboration and the use of AI-supported course elements. The session will also examine how course design can encourage meaningful student engagement while reducing reliance on AI-generated responses.  See the workshop agenda. 

Serious Games E-MEDIC 
Thursday, 15 October, 09:00–12:30 

This session looks at how serious games can be designed and used as structured pedagogical tools. Participants will work through key elements of game-based learning design and consider how these methods can be adapted to different educational settings, including healthcare, legal, technical and corporate contexts. The workshop is intended to provide a practical understanding of how serious games can support learning objectives rather than being used simply as an engagement tool. See the workshop agenda. 

Integrating green competences through student-centred learning – ENVIHEI 
Friday, 16 October, 9:00–12:30  

This workshop explores how green competences can be integrated into higher education through student-centred learning. The session will consider practical ways of embedding environmental sustainability into teaching and curriculum design, with a focus on approaches that help students develop and apply sustainability-related knowledge, skills and competences within their studies.
