At an event on education and training held on 10^th May in the Austrian city of Graz, the European Commission and the Austrian Presidency of the EU inaugurated the first “Leonardo da Vinci Ambassadors”, and presented a shortlist of outstanding mobility projects realised within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci programme.

While the 20 Leonardo da Vinci Ambassadors, each one of them representing a EU member state, will act as promoters of the Leonardo programme, the shortlisted projects will serve as examples of excellence. These projects fall within the following categories:

• Initial vocational training;
• students’ training in enterprise;
• young workers and recent graduates;
• teachers and trainers;
• projects run or coordinated by enterprises.
