Together with its collective members, the European University Association has been monitoring the impact of the financial crisis on higher education institutions (HEIs) since 2008. The latest edition of the EUA’s Public Funding Observatory shows the challenges faced by many countries in funding HEIs, highlighting the impact of inflation on the sector. The aim of the report is to identify broad European trends in terms of public investment in HEIs.
