EUA Report. Promoting a European dimension to teaching enhancement. A feasibility study from the European Forum for Enhanced Collaboration in Teaching (EFFECT) project.

The European University Association (EUA) released a feasibility study, titled Promoting a European dimension to teaching enhancement, during the 2019 European Learning & Teaching Forum in Warsaw on 14 February 2019. The study is part of the Erasmus+ co-funded EFFECT (European Forum for Enhanced Collaboration in Teaching) project (2015-2019), coordinated by EUA and aiming at evaluating the potential of a European-level structure for improving higher education (HE) learning and teaching. The study focuses on effective and efficient ways of promoting and supporting teaching and learning enhancement at the EU level and on existing approaches for pedagogical staff development in European higher education institutions (HEIs).

The study is divided into four main chapters: the first one describes the EFFECT project; the second one presents findings and two case studies on pedagogical staff development; the third one provides an overview of the existing institutional strategies and the European Principles for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching; and the last one draws conclusions and proposes future actions.
