As announced in the March issue of ACA Newsletter - Education Europe, the European Commission has now published a call for tender under the new EU-US cooperation programme in higher education - Atlantis. This call covers the following actions:

• Transatlantic degree consortia projcts, to provide support for consortia of EU and US higher education institutions to implement double or joint degree programmes. Support may include mobility grants for students and members of the academic teaching staff
• Policy oriented measures, to provide support to multilateral EU-US projects and activites designed to enhance collaboration in the higher education and vocational training fields.

The lead institution in the EU and the lead institution in the US must submit a common proposal to the DG for Education and Culture of the European Commission and to the US Department of Education.
