The European Commission has launched together with the US Department of Education a new joint call for proposals covering a series of actions - grouped under the common title of "ATLANTIS". The 2008 ATLANTIS Call for Proposals covers the following actions:

• Transatlantic Degree Consortia Projects –action provides support for consortia of EU and U.S. higher education institutions to implement dual/double or joint degree programmes.
• Excellence Mobility Projects –action provides funding for international curriculum development projects that involve short term transatlantic mobility not directly related to the award of a joint or dual/double degree.
• Policy Oriented Measures –action provides support to multilateral EU-US projects and activities designed to enhance collaboration in the higher education and vocational training field.

Deadline for application: 2 April 2008

Total budget: EUR 4,5 million for European partners
