ErasmusDays celebrated with over 6,000 local events

This year’s #erasmusdays were celebrated during 13, 14 and 15 October 2022 with a total of 6,297 local events taking place worldwide. The highlight of this year had been the #guesswherasmus challenge on social media where people were invited to challenge their followers to guess their past, present or future Erasmus destinations. To this aim, participants were encouraged to post their dance videos featuring the song Sugarsweet by Zach Sorgen and to hint the destination country with different visuals incorporated in the second part of the dance video.

Erasmusdays are events organised annually to celebrate Erasmus+ programme with a plethora of activities for three days. The idea is to invite people from different parts of the world to share their Erasmus experience, network with others, open intercultural dialogue and reflect on European values. To this aim, students, national Erasmus+ agencies and other stakeholders organise their local activities such as concerts, seminars and open days.

This year, Erasmus Student Network (ESN) has also launched the new Erasmus Generation Portal to create an online space for increasing peer-to-peer information about student mobility. The online platform includes various contents such as student opinions, testimonials and practical information about different student mobility programs. Furthermore, it features the Erasmus+ Grant Simulator where students are provided with grant estimates for their prospective mobility plans based on the duration, destination and the mobility type they select.
