Erasmus Mundus Alumni Association and Related Services

The Tempus-Erasmus Mundus Unit of Directorate General of Education and Culture has opened a tender for the extended management of the Erasmus Mundus Alumni Association (EMA), the follow-up to a first call for the creation of such an association. Formerly managed by ACA, the winner of the initial tender, the Eramus Mundus Alumni Association aims to connect graduates of Erasmus Mundus Master’s Courses, foster a programme identity, and provide services and a forum of communication both during the Erasmus Mundus student’s study and after. The one-year pilot launch of this association yielded an EMA website, 7 working groups of alumni and an alumni seminar in Brussels. The new tender proposes a one- to four-year contract (renewable yearly) and includes the following activities:
  • Core activities: services related to the basic management of and further development of EMA (maintenance of alumni directory, counselling and assistance of students, liaison with EMA working groups, website development, EMA Magazine, organisation of meetings);
  • Complementary activities: carrying out surveys among EM students and alumni, creating a student handbook and database on student dissertations;
  • Graduate Impact Survey: a survey carried out in cohorts, assessing the overall programme success and effects across outgoing graduates and alumni.
Deadline for applications: 30 March 2007 Total budget for entire project: 380 000 Euros European Commission
