On 6 July, MEP Milan Zver, the Erasmus+ rapporteur at the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education, hosted a meeting on the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme implementation in Brussels. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experience between various stakeholder organisations, including ACA, and to collect their suggestions on how to make the programme more efficient and effective in the future.

The results of this meeting support the European Parliament’s formal "implementation report", feeding into a parliamentary resolution. In this context, the ACA Secretariat, represented by its Director Irina Ferencz, shared ACA members’ feedback on possible improvements from the perspective of national agencies for Erasmus+, including a more balanced approach to horizontal priorities, further simplification, and the enhancement of  IT and data collection tools.

Furthermore, ahead of the Erasmus+ mid-term evaluation, the European Parliament issued a study to provide an initial evaluation of Erasmus+ as well as Creative Europe, European Solidarity Corps, and Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Strand 3 funding programmes since their launch in late 2021. The research shows that despite the impact of events such as the COVID-19 health crisis and the geopolitical situation, these programmes have been successfully launched and have demonstrated a high level of flexibility and resilience in a fast changing environment.

Committed to the Erasmus+ programme's continuous enhancement, ACA will be supporting its mid-term evaluation with the substantial evidence and a set of recommendations elaborated by its members.
