In June, ACA and six Erasmus+ National Agencies – CMEPIUS (Slovenia), AMEUP (Croatia), DZS (Czechia), OeAD (Austria), Rannis (Iceland), and TPF (Hungary) – have successfully concluded a series of three thematic workshops as part of a joint training initiative on strategic approaches to staff mobility.
Targeting institutional teams from Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Iceland, and Slovenia, the training aims to strengthen the role of Erasmus+ staff mobility as a driver of institutional development, inclusion, and professional growth. It responds to the need for stronger strategic alignment, more inclusive participation, and greater impact—particularly in leveraging staff mobility to advance core institutional goals in teaching, research, and engagement.
Spanning five online sessions between April and November 2025, the training delivered with leading experts in the field combines strategic insight with hands-on implementation, equipping institutions with practical tools and fostering peer exchange.
The first three workshops explored how to embed staff mobility more strategically into institutional frameworks—as a lever for transformation, professional development, and inclusion. Discussions focused on aligning mobility with institutional priorities, expanding its role in staff learning and recognition, and reaching underrepresented groups. Key takeaways included the need to prioritise mobility by purpose and staff profile, embed it in career development systems, diversify formats, and strengthen follow-up through knowledge sharing and networks.
The final two sessions, planned for autumn, will guide participating institutions in designing tailored action plans to more strategically leverage staff mobility for institutional development.
