The European Commission recently launched an eLearning initiative to adapt the European Union's education and training systems to knowledge society through the effective and relevant use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the internet for learning (eLearning). This invitation to tender is relevant to the European Commission's internet portal on eLearning (elearningeuropa.info), a meeting point for all those interested in the effective use of ICT to improve learning. The contract aims to ensure the continuity of the elearningeuropa.info portal and to improve it with new features and upgraded tools. The services required include hosting, managing, enhancing, promoting and maintaining the portal, proactive search and gathering of information and content, editorial work and active encouragement of users' participation.
