EEA&Norway grants: new EUR 15 million for regional cross-border cooperation

On 24 January Norway, Lichtenstein and Iceland announced a brand-new call for project proposals in regional cross-border cooperation, amounting to EUR 15 million. The total allocation of the fund, which was first launched on the same day, is EUR 34,5 million.

The call aims to support projects within any of the priority areas under the EEA and Norway Grants, on condition that they support regional cross-border cooperation. Support will therefore be given to projects aiming to strengthen cross-border and transnational networks, to foster capacity building, knowledge sharing and policy exchange, to accelerate innovation and to develop sustainable cooperation structures between the business sector, public sector, civil sector and academia

Eligibility will be recognised to consortia made of entities from at least three target countries, both among the 15 beneficiaries in the grant scheme and the 10 non-EU countries that border any of the beneficiary countries (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine).
The deadline for applications is 1 July 2018.
