EDULINK: first call for proposals

EDULINK is the first ACP-EU cooperation programme in higher education. It is open to all countries of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) and the 15 EU Member States that are signatories to the 9th European Development Fund (EDF). The programme aims to strengthen the capacity of ACP higher education institutions at three levels: institutional/administrative, academic, and research and technology.

To work towards these aims, the Programme has opened a call for proposals for consortia of networked higher education institutions. The call supports the following types of activities:
  • Institutional capacity building of ACP higher education institutions in support of policy, management, planning and administrative capacity at national and regional levels.
  • Institutional co-operation to maximise academic quality and relevance in the regional or sub-regional context.
  • Capacity building in research and technology.
Eligible to apply are consortia of higher education institutions from any ACP or EU country, or established networks of higher education institutions. Partnerships must consist of at least three higher education institutions, out of which at least two must be based in ACP countries. The duration of proposed activity should be between one and three years.

Deadline for applications: 15 January 2007, 16:00 h Brussels time

Overall indicative budget: 5 000 000 Euros.

Budget per grant:
200 000 Euros (min) – 500 000 Euros (max).
