Mr André Siganos was appointed Director General of EduFrance on 10th November 2006 by the Agency’s board of directors, further to the retirement of the previous Director, Mr Thierry Audric.

Mr Siganos is the former President of the University of Grenoble 3 and has also occupied the position of Cultural Counsellor in Tokyo. Before becoming Director General of EduFrance, André Siganos was the deputy director of Scientific and Cultural Cooperation at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is also the author of important books on literary theory, such as Le Minotaure et son mythe (1993).
