The new call under the DIGITAL Europe Programme, titled “Specialised education programmes or modules in key capacity areas,” was launched to support the development of bachelor's and master's courses for ICT and digital professionals. The programmes should be jointly designed by universities, research centres and businesses involved in the digital sector. The intention is to facilitate cooperation between academic excellence, research and innovative industries, upgrade existing technical equipment and the interoperability among universities, as well as provide student support.
The projects are to alternatively focus on digital domains, such as AI and cyber security, interdisciplinary programmes or conversion programmes for non-ICT graduates. The aim is to underpin Europe’s digital sovereignty and to attract and retain the best talents from around the world. The overall budget allocated in EUR 56 million, with up to EUR 10 million per project.
The applications will open on 29 September 2022 and close on 24 January 2023. An info session “Partner for DIGITAL Skills” will take place in October 2022 so as to present the call in detail and to offer the opportunity to future applicants to present their organisations.
