Update of database of funding in higher education in Germany
The DAAD has expanded its internet database for international students, graduates and scientists. The new version of the database describes not onlythe various types of funding offered by the DAAD, but also the programmes offered by other funding organisations for a study stay in Germany.
B) New DAAD programme for postdocs in biotechnology
This September, the DAAD in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) launched the new scholarship programme Modern Applications of Biotechnology – CEE. It offers highly qualified young postdoctoral students from selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and from Germany the opportunity to spend between 6 and 24 months as researchers at relevant institutes in Germany or abroad. The research work of the postdocs should address topics of modern biotechnology with high innovation potential, such as medical biotechnology, engineering biotechnology, agricultural biotechnology and molecular life sciences.
