DAAD organises the Bologna Cooperation Forum in Azerbaijan

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is organising a Bologna Cooperation Forum on 25 and 26 September 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The 2-day event will feature a Conference and a Networking Meeting for Higher Education Cooperation. The overall objective of the event is to promote the implementation of Bologna Reforms and to initiate higher education cooperation between Azerbaijan and other countries of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

During the Bologna-Conference session on 25 September, key aspects of the European higher education reform will be addressed, including quality assurance, recognition of qualifications and transparency instruments such as ECTS and Diploma Supplement. The aim of the conference is to support the Bologna reforms in Azerbaijan, which joined the EHEA in 2005, in particular in the internationalisation of its higher education system. The Networking Meeting for Higher Education Cooperation will take place on 26 September and it will represent a stage for exchange and cooperation and for establishing new partnerships. According to the draft programme, one speaker from the DAAD Information Center in Baku will focus on “DAAD funding possibilities for cooperation between Germany and the region”, while one speaker from the National Erasmus+ Office in Azerbaijan will address challenges and opportunities in the Erasmus+ Programme.
