The Baltic Science Network Mobility Programme for Research Internships (BARI) is aimed at scientists in the Baltic Sea region. It offers doctoral researchers from the fields of life sciences, photon and neutron science and welfare state the opportunity to recruit Masters´ or Bachelors´ students in the Baltic Sea region for a research internship. Currently, the application portal is open until end of May. BARI is a joint initiative of the Baltic Science Network (BSN). It includes Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Russia and (with observer status) Belarus. The aim of the programme is to promote personal ties between the nationalities through joint work on a research project and to awaken interest in research and scientific cooperation. The DAAD designed and implemented the mobility programme on the basis of its "Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE)" programme.
