DAAD awards the European Quality Label to eight German higher education institutions

On 6th July 2006, DAAD´s Secretary General, Dr. Christian Bode, awarded eight German higher education institutions the European Quality Label. The Quality Label was awarded for the first time last year. It is granted for special merits and accomplishments in the context of incoming and outgoing ERASMUS mobility. The following higher education institutions received the European Quality Label:

  • University of Bamberg
  • Humboldt University of Berlin
  • University of Konstanz
  • Handelshochschule Leipzig
  • University of Applied Sciences Münster
  • University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück
  • University of Osnabrück
  • University of Rostock

Seven national agencies in Europe, including the DAAD, elaborated the concept for this prize, which is awarded by all countries participating in the ERASMUS programme. The label is meant to create an incentive for European higher education institutions to further improve the quality of student and teacher mobility within Europe.
