The Annual Report provides information about the most important projects, current statistics and an overview of the tasks of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The DAAD has granted academic and research funding to more than 145,000 Germans and foreigners in 2019, including European Union (EU) programmes, making it the world’s largest funding organisation of its kind. The DAAD is a driving force behind the internationalisation efforts of German higher education institutions. It supports developing countries by helping them build and improve their higher education systems and it promotes the study of the German language and German Studies abroad.
