The sixth annual CZEDUCON conference, held from 18 to 20 November 2024, took place in Prague, Czech Republic, gathering over 650 guests from diverse national and international backgrounds. Co-organised with the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE), and ACA members, the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS), the Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and the Slovak Academic Association for International Cooperation (SAAIC), this three-day conference explored internationalisation in higher education.  

This year’s conference highlighted four key areas: 

1. Internationalisation for All: Promoting inclusivity and ensuring that international opportunities are accessible to everyone; 
2. The Digital Age: Navigating the integration of technology into higher education to prepare for a digital future; 
3. Support, Care, and Well-being: Prioritising mental health and wellness for students and staff within the academic community; 
4. Cooperation Within Academia and Beyond: Enhancing partnerships across institutions and countries for greater impact. 

The Academic Cooperation Association played a key role in this year’s event, with Angeliki Psychogyiou supporting a compelling session titled "Student Blended Mobility in Practice: How to Deliver the Best Digitalisation Has to Offer." The session explored the transformative potential of Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) in bridging traditional and digital learning environments. Together with Salome Dermati (European University Foundation), Tereza Šmídová (Mendel University in Brno), and Lenka Vivas (Mendel University in Brno), the session highlighted useful insights, touching on key aspects, including: 

• Leveraging BIPs to enhance digital skills and foster innovation; 
• Funding opportunities for summer schools and their implications; 
• Navigating challenges faced by International Relations Offices, such as harmonising rules and refining online components. 

The session also emphasised the importance of communication between university rectorates and faculties to align efforts and ensure successful outcomes. 

CZEDUCON 2024 once again demonstrated its pivotal role in shaping the future of higher education. The conference not only celebrated the achievements of the international higher education community but also served as a catalyst for new ideas and collaborations.
