Czech National Agency for International Education (DZS) organised in Prague on 6 – 7 November 2019 CZEDUCON, second year of international forum for experts in the field of internationalisation of HEIs. Over 500 participants attended the event, 40 lectures and workshops were held and 70 speakers including 20 foreign guests were involved. During the conference over 300 participants downloaded a new application that enabled (besides updated programme) additional features such as rating, voting or asking questions online.

CZEDUCON was opened by Rahul Choudaha, Global Higher Education Strategist, speaking about Third Wave of International Student Mobility. In the following panel session we welcomed brilliant speakers such as Ulrich Grothus, President of ACA, Sabine Pendl, Director of EAIE, and Pavel Dolecek, Deputy Minister of Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. During two days we delivered a memorable conference and we had a great pleasure to hear from diverse speakers from different backgrounds. Besides Czech representatives from HEIs we´ve heard from Irina Ferencz, Deputy Director of ACA, about necessary actions to increase and widen inclusion in internationalisation at home and internationalisation abroad activities. We had a great opportunity to meet our colleagues from other National agencies, such as DAAD, EDUFI and NAWA. Anke Stahl from DAAD presented German perspective of challenges and new trends for Internationalisation in times of Change, Anja Schnabel from DAAD was speaking about marketing strategies to make international students successful as in Germany up to one third of them drops out before graduating. Juha Ketolainen from EDUFI gave some recommendations and tips for those working with management, communication and coordination for international activities. We were also glad to welcome our colleagues from NAWA, Lukasz Wodyga and Katarzyna Aleksy as well as Aleksandra Rogalska and Radosław Podgrudny who presented a poster session.
