Covid-19 : Germany promises no disadvantages for BAföG recipients due to corona crisis while digital solutions are offered for education institutions

In Germany, most regions have decided to postpone the start of lectures and closed universities and schools for several weeks. As far as possible, digital teaching-learning services shall be made available to teachers and students. The German federal ministry for education and research publishes information on how to deal with the corona virus on its website (in German).

During the corona crisis, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will continue to support BAföG (federal training assistance) students, even if schools and universities are closed or entry to countries is denied.
