This report presents key findings of a survey conducted by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), Ministry of Education, Thailand, in June 2011. The survey aimed to take stock of collaborative degree programmes that are jointly delivered by Thai and foreign higher education institutions in 2011. Organised around short descriptions of each collaborative programme identified by the survey, this publication provides a concise and informative overview of international activities of Thai universities in the form of joint, dual and national degree programmes offered in conjunction with foreign partners.
According to the report, a total of 92 such collaborative degree programmes (1 Diploma graduate programme, 46 Bachelor’s degree programmes, 36 Master’s degree programmes and 9 PhD programmes) have been in operation this year. Interestingly, regarding the geographical distribution of partner countries, China is the clear leader in terms of the number of this type of collaborative arrangement (47), followed by the United States (25) and Germany (13).
