The overall objective, to which this study will contribute, is to map country policies and strategies for implementation on selective, open or mixed admission systems at Bachelor level in Europe and analyse whether there is a correlation between admission systems and different higher education outcomes, and to draw out good practices within the systems applying different admission models. The study is to contribute to the ongoing cooperation between EU Member States in the field of higher education and should produce evidence, conclusions and recommendations to support the improvement of policies concerning admission to higher education institutions in particular as well as the effectiveness of higher education in general.
