ACA is proud to announce that Pasi Sahlberg, the Director of ACA’s Finnish member organisation – the Center for International Mobility and Cooperation (CIMO) – has recently been awarded the 2013 University of Louisville Grawemeyer Prize in Education. The award was granted for Mr Sahlberg’s 2011 book – Finnish Lessons: What Can the World Learn from Educational Change in Finland? – that looks into the reasons behind the success of the Finnish school system. The ACA Secretariat would like to congratulate Mr Sahlberg for this remarkable achievement.
Pasi Sahlberg became the Director of CIMO in 2009, having previously worked for the World Bank in Washington D.C., and for the European Commission’s European Training Foundation (ETF) in Turin, Italy.
