A new DAAD funded Centre for German and European Studies (ZeDES) located in Seoul, South Korea, was opened in October. The independent research institution focuses on societal and cultural developments in Germany and Europe and explores their relevance for Korea. One of the centre’s key tasks is the training of young students and researchers in new interdisciplinary Master and doctoral studies.
The DAAD is supporting Centres for German and European Studies worldwide. The Centre in Seoul is the 16th of its kind.
