CEEDUCON 2026 opens call for proposals

CEEDUCON 2026, the 8th edition of the Central European Conference on the Internationalisation of Higher Education, will take place on 1–2 December 2026 at the O₂ universum in Prague. The event is expected to bring together up to 1,000 participants, including university staff, policymakers, and internationalisation professionals.

The conference will focus on four main thematic areas reflecting current priorities and pressures in international higher education:

  • Navigating the technological shift: exploring how universities can use AI, digitalisation, and data analytics responsibly while maintaining academic values
  • Challenges of internationalisation: addressing structural, social, and financial barriers, as well as the impact of geopolitical uncertainty
  • From recruitment to retention: developing student-centred approaches that connect recruitment, admissions, support, and alumni engagement
  • Global and regional partnerships: building sustainable and balanced collaborations across institutions and regions

The organisers are currently inviting proposals for more than 50 sessions and workshops, with a submission deadline of 30 April 2026. They are particularly interested in interactive formats that actively engage participants, as well as contributions based on practical experience. Proposals that involve collaboration across institutions or present concrete case studies are especially encouraged.

CEEDUCON has established itself as a space for open exchange and useful discussion, rather than purely theoretical debate. For prospective speakers, it offers an opportunity to share approaches that have worked in practice, reflect on challenges, and connect with peers facing similar issues.
