CEDEFOP: learning together for local innovation

Gustavsen, B., Nyhan, B., Ennals, R., Learning together for local innovation — Promoting learning regions. European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop). 2007. Pages 276.

Regional innovation and development depend on dialogue, cooperation, networking and learning between all social and economic actors in a region. The 12 case studies collected in this book cover a range of contexts from manufacturing, regional universities, women’s cooperatives to promoting social cohesion in multicultural communities. Each case can be understood against the background of the other cases, enabling learning from differences.

The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) was established in 1975 and is the European Union's reference centre for vocational education and training. It provides information and analyses of training systems, policies, research and practice.
