While the links between higher education and innovation policies are increasing, a lack of data and evidence is hindering the development of an updated understanding of the contribution of higher education to innovation capacity.

In order to further explore and demonstrate the role higher education plays and help close an important knowledge gap, DG EAC is launching a study - Measuring the contribution of higher education to innovation capacity. This study will look explicitly at more effective and relevant means for capturing the contribution of higher education to innovation capacity and provide evidence for policy making.
