The European Commission is calling for tenders for a study on the cooperation between higher education institutions and public and private organisations in the EU Member States, the candidate countries, and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The overall objective of the study is to get better knowledge and understanding of university–business cooperation in Europe, from the perspective of the higher education institutions.

The work implies analysis of existing literature, a survey based on a questionnaire to a representative number of higher education institutions, a number of case studies and the identification and description of approximately 30 examples of good practice.
