Call for proposals: Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) 2013

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission launched on 8 August the new round of the General Call for applications under the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP). The call applies to projects that will be funded in 2013, and just as last year, it was released earlier than usual.

LLP has four sub-programmes that finance projects at different levels of education and training: Comenius (for school education); the well-known Erasmus (for higher education); Leonardo da Vinci (for vocational education and training); and Grundtvig (for adult education). In addition, the programme includes Jean Monnet actions, which stimulate teaching, reflection and debate on European integration in higher education institutions worldwide. Funded through the transversal part of the programme, the actions relevant for more than one level of education (e.g. language learning, ICT, policy cooperation and dissemination and exploitation of projects’ results) are also part of the call.

The strategic priorities of the call in the field of higher education have changed from last year:

  • Increasing attainment levels and strengthening the social dimension of higher education;
  • Improving the quality and relevance of higher education, including cooperation between HEIs and the labour market;
  • Strengthening quality through mobility and cross-border cooperation;
  • Knowledge Alliances (new learning and teaching methods, fostering entrepreneurial skills and attitudes, structured mobility); and
  • Improving governance and funding.

The application forms are now available. More information is available on the EACEA website.

Total budget: EUR 1.276 billion
