Call for proposals EACEA/26/11 – “Jean Monnet programme support for European associations active at European level in the field of European integration and education and training”

On 29 September, the European Commission published a call for proposals under its Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), Jean Monnet sub-programme, Key Activity 3, aimed at supporting European associations in the fields of education and training. Specifically, these are the associations that are active in European integration subjects, and/or pursue the objectives of the European Union’s education and training policy.

Eligible European associations are non-profit and non-public organisations located in one or several LLP eligible countries; their activities reflect general European interest (as specified in a related Commission regulation No 2342/2002 (4)), and are primarily implemented in the EU member states and/or in other LLP eligible countries. Moreover, specific requirements apply to the membership structure of an eligible European association.

The EU funding allocated under this call will take the form of operating grants to support some of the costs that relate to the implementation of European activities according to an agreed work programme. The activities of the proposed work programme must contribute to increasing knowledge and awareness on the European integration process through education and training and/or the implementation of at least one of the following strategic objectives of ‘ET 2020’:

  • making lifelong learning and mobility a reality;
  • improving the quality and efficiency of education and training; and
  • promoting equity, social cohesion and active citizenship.

For more details on the eligibility criteria and eligible activities to be supported, consult the call fiche published on the website of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission.
