In August, the European Commission launched a call for proposals for a study on the influence of different models of funding on higher education system outcomes with a specific focus on the teaching mission of higher education institutions. Building on the findings of previous work, the study should investigate (to the extent possible) the influence of cost-sharing in nine case study higher education systems while taking into account financial and selected system "performance" indicators.
