Call for proposals: Cooperation in higher education and training between EU and the industrialised countries

The 2009 Industrialised Countries Instrument - Education Cooperation Programme (ICI-ECP) call for proposals supports cooperation with Australia, Japan and the Republic of Korea by means of joint mobility projects focused on structured exchanges of students and faculty members, and on the development of joint or shared curricula and joint study programmes. All the mobility projects must address the following aspects: development of innovative international curricula; student services, language and cultural preparation; organisational frameworks for student mobility and faculty members' mobility; evaluation; and sustainability and dissemination.

The call is open to higher education institutions, to vocational education and training institutions and to their consortia. Eligible applicants must be from one of the partner countries and from one of the EU member states. It is anticipated that three to four projects EU - Australia, one to two projects EU – Japan and three to four projects EU - Republic of Korea will be funded in 2009.

Budget:  EU - total EUR 2.8 million, with comparable funding from the partner countries
