“Innovating for the Future of VET” was the title of the meeting of Ministers in charge of Vocational Education and Training (VET), European social partners and the European Commission that took place in Riga on 22 June. Over 40 delegations came together for the meeting, chaired by the Latvian Minister for Education and Science Ms Marite Seile. The two highlights of the session were the Ministers’ signing of the Riga Conclusions (see below), and the pledge of 38 additional companies to join the European Alliance for Apprenticeships.
